Why “Silverback”?
The silverback gorilla is endangered. Its habitat keeps shrinking, and it survives because people decide it's worth protecting. Physical media is in the same spot. Stores have cleared their shelves, studios press fewer discs, and the common assumption is that everything is streaming somewhere now.
It isn't. Streaming services carry only a small slice of the films and shows that were ever published, and that slice moves around. Titles leave when licenses expire, shows get edited after release, and some movies never got a digital release at all. Many of the titles in our collection may never be streamable.
What we do
We find discs that would otherwise end up in landfills or forgotten in storage. We sort them, check them, and list them honestly so they reach someone who'll watch them. It's up to collectors, film fans and families like yours to keep physical media alive.
